Notice of School Board Vacancies
Jefferson School District 251 announces two upcoming vacancies on the Board of Trustees for Zone 3 and Zone 5.
These positions will become open January 1, 2026. Individuals interested in serving on the school board must reside within the boundaries of the respective zone.

Angie is married to husband, David and they have four children. All four of her children are graduates of Rigby High School. She is a graduate of Madison High School. Angie and her husband farm West of Roberts. She enjoys reading, quilting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Angie has served on the Board of Trustees since 2000 representing Zone 1.
Leanna is married to Wayne Poole and they have 4 children . Leanna lives in Menan and loves Jefferson County and her family roots here. She has worked in finance and business management since before graduating high school. Leanna is currently a Realtor and loves all things real estate related. She loves to read, camp, anything to do with the outdoors, spending time with my family and friends and learning new skills. Leanna was elected in 2019 to Represent Zone 2.
Zone 3 - Vacant
Derek was raised in Menan and graduated from Rigby High School. After college and mariage he moved back to Rigby in 2009. Derek and his wife Sarah have 6 children with 5 of them currently attending schools in the district. He is the owner of SouthCo Metals in Idaho Falls. Derek serves on the Jefferson School District 251 Board of Trustees representing Zone 4.
Zone 5 - Vacant
BJ is married to wife, Maria and they have four children. BJ is a graduate of Rigby High School and Utah State University, where he received a degree in public relations and marketing. He is the owner of George & Jesse’s Les Schwab Tire in Rigby. BJ enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family and traveling. BJ was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2017 to represent Zone 6.
Debbie Bagley is married to Seth Bagley. They have 5 children who have or are attending Rigby schools. Debbie graduated from Utah State University. She currently works for Van Wagoner Consulting, working with Adults with Disabilities. Debbie enjoys spending time with her family traveling, in the outdoors, and doing a variety of activities. She enjoys reading and learning new things. Debbie has lived in Rigby for 24 years and has loved raising her kids in this community. Debbie was elected to represent Zone 7.
