Frequently Asked Questions
Membership
How much does a membership cost?
A community membership is $10 per individual per year. Membership is valid for 12 months from the date you sign up.
Do students need to pay for a membership?
No. Jefferson School District students may receive a FREE student membership by creating their account with their district-issued email address. Student members also receive reduced rental rates. Students are not permitted to rent the turf area.
How do I sign up?

Does everyone in my group need a membership?
No. Only the person making the reservation is required to have a membership. The member who makes the reservation must be present for the entire reservation.
Can I bring guests who are not members?
Yes. Members may bring non-member guests at no additional charge
Does everyone need to sign a liability waiver?
Yes. Every participant must have a signed liability waiver on file before participating, even if someone else made the reservation.
Equipment
Does the Fieldhouse provide equipment?
No. Participants should bring their own paddles, rackets, balls, bats, helmets, and other necessary equipment.
Are helmets required in the batting cages?
Yes. Batting helmets are required whenever using the batting cages. Participants are responsible for providing their own helmets.
Turf Area
Can I rent just part of the turf?
No. The turf is rented as the entire turf area for $100 per hour.
Student memberships do not include the ability to reserve the turf.
Reservations
How far in advance can I make a reservation?
Reservations may be made up to 7 days in advance.
How many reservations can I make?
Members may have one active reservation at a time. Once that reservation has been completed, another reservation may be made.
Does the person who made the reservation have to be there?
Yes. The member who made the reservation must be present and participating in or supervising the reserved activity.
What is the cancellation policy?
Reservations may be canceled up to 24 hours before the scheduled reservation.
Can the district cancel my reservation?
Occasionally. School and district activities have priority. In rare circumstances, an existing reservation may need to be canceled to accommodate a school team or district activity.
Holiday closures, scheduled school activities, and other known unavailable dates will generally be blocked in CourtReserve so they cannot be reserved.

The $10 annual community membership fee is separate from facility rental charges
Teams & Groups
Can a youth or community team reserve the Fieldhouse?
Yes, provided the team is operating on a nonprofit basis.
The coach must make the reservation, must be present during the reservation, and may not be receiving compensation for the activity.
Can I rent the Fieldhouse to give private lessons?
No. Broulim’s Fieldhouse is intended to serve students, families, and the community and may not be used for private lessons, paid coaching, camps, leagues, or other commercial activities.
Can a business rent the Fieldhouse?
No. The Fieldhouse is not available for commercial use or for activities intended to generate private business income.
Facility Hours
When can the public reserve the Fieldhouse?
Monday–Friday
5:30 a.m.–7:30 a.m.
6:30 p.m.–9:30 p.m.
Saturday
7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
The facility will be available for public rental beginning Tuesday, September 8.
Children & Supervision
Can children use the Fieldhouse?
Yes. Participants under age 14 must be supervised by an adult while using the facility.
General Facility Rules
Can I use an open court if nobody is playing on it?
No. Courts, batting cages, and the turf area may only be used with a valid reservation.
Can I walk the track without making a reservation?
Yes. Use of the indoor walking track is FREE and does not require a court or facility rental.
Can I bring food or drinks into the Fieldhouse?
Only water is permitted. Food and other beverages are not allowed.
Do I need to change my shoes?
Yes. Participants should change out of street shoes before entering the activity areas and wear appropriate clean athletic shoes.
