The Idaho Immunization Law 39-4801 requires that children in grades pre-school through 12 shall provide proof of immunization or sign an exemption at the time of enrollment in an Idaho school. To meet legal requirements, a record with evidence that students are up to date on their immunizations (shots), or a valid immunization exemption must be provided and kept on file at the school. Students going into 7th grade and 12th grade will need additional immunizations. Please provide the school with your students updated immunization records when a new immunization has been given to you child.

The Idaho Exemption Law 39-4802 allows parents to exempt their child from the state school immunization requirements for personal, medical or religious reasons.  If an exemption is submitted, and there is an outbreak of the disease for which the exemption is signed, the exempted student may be excluded from school for the period deemed necessary by public health officials.

Immunization Clinics/Resources: Eastern Idaho Public Health provides all types of vaccines year-round to children ages 0-18.  Anyone needing to get their child caught up on immunizations can call (208) 533-3235, to schedule an appointment.
